JDHS Dance Team History of Officers
Traditionally, the Officer Corps of the JDHS Dance Team is comprised of Juniors and Seniors who have shown not only tremendous skill and technique but also exhibit unique leadership and interpersonal skills that allow them to take on a leadership role among the dancers. This is not an easy title to obtain, there are several challenges that serve as proving points with the coaches who evaluate Officer candidates based on maturity of skill and presence alike.
Some seasons will sport co-captains and no first lieutenants while other years will have a captain, lieutenants, and squad leaders. It is up to the coaches to determine the makeup of the leadership for that year.
